Thomas MichaelSEKICH of Longmont died Saturday, July 2, 2005, in Weld County. He was 58.

He was born Aug. 4, 1946, in Mead to Mike and Rowena (Combs) Sekich.

He attended Longmont High School.

Mr. Sekich served in the U.S. Marine Corps from Jan. 6, 1966, to Jan. 5, 1968, and saw duty in Vietnam.

He married Shirley Gore on July 16, 1968, in Loveland. They divorced in 1977.

Mr. Sekich spent his life in the Mead and Longmont areas.

He was a welder and mechanic.

Mr. Sekich was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed karaoke at the Rocky Mountain Saloon, fishing, woodworking and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his father; two sisters; and a brother.

Mr. Sekich is survived by three sons, Robert, Jeffrey and T.J. Sekich; three daughters, Stacy Langenberg, Susie Dawe and Shannon Sekich; his mother; two brothers, Bill and Mike Sekich; eight sisters, Mary Joe Wierman, Alice Klena, Donna Rodgers, Shirley Mendez, Mickey Ambrose, Barbara Sekich, Nancy Mayer and Kathy Makings; eight grandchildren, Jamie Loomis, Joshua Dawe, John Sekich, Lukas Langenberg, Emily Langenberg, Nichola Hamilton, Kelly Dones and Brandon Dones; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

A funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 8, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas M. Sekich Fund and sent to Bank of the West, 1610 Hover Road, Longmont 80501.
