Suzanne H.DEVAULT of Platteville died April 23, 2008, at Exempla Good Samaritan Hospital. She was 61.

She was born October 9, 1946, in Longmont to John William and Muriel Alice (Williams) Harrison. Suzanne graduated from Longmont High School and Mesa Junior College and then earned a degree as a licensed practical nurse. She enlisted in the United States Navy, where she served as a Corpsman, and was honorably discharged.

Suzanne married Bernie R. DeVault on June 27, 1975, in Longmont. They moved to Platteville in 1978.

She worked at Longmont United Hospital and Beatrice Hover Assisted Living. She also drove a school bus in Platteville for several years.

Suzanne is a member of Hope Center Church in Johnstown. She was a member and past president of Sunshine Club in Longmont, was active with KAIROS prison ministry in facilities at Sterling and Brush, and was a second responder for the Platteville/Gilcrest Fire District.

She loved animals, especially dogs and cats. Suzanne enjoyed riding cross county with her husband as he drove his semi truck.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Stan Harrison.

Suzanne is survived by her husband Bernie of Platteville; daughter Jenny Baker and husband David of Longmont; son Russell DeVault of Wichita, Kansas; her parents, Bill and Muriel Harrison of Longmont; a brother, Jeff Harrison and wife Judy of Orange Park, Florida; and a soon-to-be-born granddaughter due May 31.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Reverend Terry Skov and Reverend Susan Skov officiating. Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Inurnment at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
