Fred dies in auto accident

Frederick L. Parker, 24, a Longmont resident since 1964, died about 2 a.m. Wednesday in an automobile accident on Colorado 7, just east of Lafayette.

Mr. Parker was born at Sumter, South Carolina, on October 14, 1947 and married Shirley Haynes in Longmont on August 4, 1967. She survives.

He came to Denver with his parents from South Carolina at the age of 8 and attended Denver schools. In 1964 the family moved to Longmont and he was graduated from Longmont High School in 1965.

Mr. Parker had served six years in the National Guard and had owned his own construction business for a time. For the past year he had been in business with his father and brothers and was a superintendent for Construction Inc. in Frederick. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Longmont.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Jason Kyle Parker. Two sons died earlier.

Other survivors are brothers Dave Parker of Frederick and Hugh parker of Denver; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Waynard Parker of Dacono.

The funeral will be conducted by Doyle Eaton at 10:30 a.m., Saturday in the Lewellen Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
