Everett C. Magnusson

August 18, 1947 - April 14, 2001

Everett C. Magnusson of Bremerton, Washington, died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton. He was 53.

He was born Aug. 18, 1947, in Concordia, Kansas, to Carl and Rubie (Baker) Magnusson.

He graduated from Longmont High School in 1965 and from Chapman College in California. 

A lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Magnusson earned a Meritorious Service Medal and Navy Commendation Medal. He retired in 1994 after 24 years of service.

On May 19, 1990, he married Gayre Fox in Reno, Nevada.

Mr. Magnusson enjoyed woodworking and manufacturing rubber stamps. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include three sons, Everett Magnusson Jr. of Reno, Nevada, Jason Hill of Concord, California, and Dale Staley of Modesto, California; a daughter, Dawn Lopez of Santa Rosa, California; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service with full military honors was held Thursday, April 19, at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Bremerton, Washington. Cherry Grove Cemetery was in charge of cremation.
