Larry DeanCULBERTSON died at his residence in Loveland on January 20, 2009. He was 64.

Larry was born on January 5, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas, to C.C. and Mae O. (Martin) Culbertson. He graduated from Longmont High School and served six years in the Colorado Army National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion.

Larry married Patricia Gapter in Boulder on July 19, 1968. Larry was involved in construction along the Front Range. He was a hard-working carpenter who was well respected by fellow workers in the industry. He enjoyed fishing and tying flies for his fishing and playing with his grandchildren every chance he got.

His parents preceded Larry in death. He is survived by his wife Patti of Loveland; his daughters Karen (Curtis) Benton of Longmont and Kim Wagner of Loveland; his son Mike (Shawna) Culbertson of Greeley; 10 grandchildren: Heather Gibbons (Jeremy Mironas), Alyssa Benton, Cassidy, Dean and John Wagner, Cody, Tylor, Jordan, Micaiah and Mattie Culbertson; his sister, Donna (Jim) Morris of Longmont; mother-in-law Patricia Gapter; brothers-in-law Dan (Carolyn) Gapter and David Gapter; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special nephew, Mark Gapter.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, at Howe Mortuary, with Pastor James Murphy of Faith Evangelical Church in Loveland officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and cremation services.
