Harry “Jay”WALLACE 64, of Longmont/Lyons died March 21, 2009, at his home.

Jay was born on September 11, 1944, in Longmont, CO, to Kenneth E. and Mary Jane (Simmons) Wallace. He graduated from Longmont High School in 1963. He joined the United States Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. Jay married Charlotte Kneebone on February 17, 1967, in Longmont.

Jay was a self-employed business owner, including Mountain Leather Traders. He was an instructor for motorcycle safety and NRA pistol safety for many years up until his death.

Jay was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Bob and Charles.

Jay is survived by his wife of 42 years, Charlotte; his two sons, Brian and his wife Samantha and Arron and his wife Nanette; eight grandchildren; an uncle, Earl
“Pete” and his wife Evelyn Simmons; sister-in-law Mary Ann; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jay will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Howe Mortuary on Thursday, March 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 27, at Howe Mortuary, with burial to follow at Hygiene Cemetery.
