Dean H., 52, of Longmont, passed away Dec. 9, 2003, at HospiceCare of
Boulder and Broomfield Counties Care Center in Louisville. Memorial service
2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Todd
Thillman of HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties officiating.
Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield
Counties or to Project ALS in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.

Dean H. Swallow of Longmont died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at HospiceCare of
Boulder and Broomfield Counties Care Center in Louisville. He was 52.
Mr. Swallow was born July 29, 1951, in Colorado to Harold William and Vera
(Pratt) Swallow.
He was a 1969 graduate of Longmont High School.
Mr. Swallow served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1970 to 1971.
In 1984, he married Susan Palmer in Brainard Lake.
Mr. Swallow was a custom builder for the last 20 years for Prospect Homes.
He was a lifelong resident of Longmont and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He
will be remembered as a loving father.
Mr. Swallow was preceded in death his parents; and his wife in October 1986.
He is survived by two daughters, Deanna Swallow of Fort Collins and Debbie
Derryberry of Savannah, Ga.; a brother, Gary Swallow and his wife Sandy of
Longmont; two stepbrothers, Robert McAndrews and Edward McAndrews, both of
Boston; a grandchild, Kara Stephens of Savannah; his stepmother, Virginia
Swallow of Boston; a nephew, Travis Swallow; and a niece, Kimberly Swallow.
No visitation is scheduled.
Cremation is being handled by Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Ahlberg Funeral
Chapel with the Rev. Todd Thillman of HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield
Counties officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare of
Boulder and Broomfield Counties or to Project ALS in care of Ahlberg Funeral
Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont 80501.
Memorial
services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at Longmont Moose Lodge
1548, with Deacon William Lee of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church
officiating.
Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 2601. Services
will conclude at the lodge. Memorial contributions may be made to the
Timothy Jackson Memorial Fund to benefit ALS research in care of Howe
Mortuary, 439 Coffman St., Longmont 80501
