Charles ‘Chuck’ Harry

March 15, 1937 — Dec. 11, 2006 of Mesa, Ariz., died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, of cancer. He was 69. He was born March 15, 1937, in Denver to Lloyd Raymond Gerard and Ruth Jeannette Williams. Mr. Gerard grew up in the Berthoud and Longmont areas, coming to Longmont in 1952. He graduated from Longmont High School in 1954. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in August 1969. He married Delma Crawford on Sept. 3, 1983, in Berthoud. Mr. Gerard was employed in construction and real estate. He retired in June 2004. He attended Central Christian Church in Mesa. He enjoyed spending time with his animals. Mr. Gerard was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of Mesa; two stepsons, Michael C. Crawford and Steve D. Crawford of Mesa; a stepdaughter, Debbie A. Crawford of Mesa; five grandchildren; a sister, Virginia L. Hart of Boulder; a nephew, Michael “Rob” Stone of Berthoud; and a niece, Pamala VanRaden of Glenwood Springs. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, in Mesa. Interment was held at National Cemetery in Cave Creek, Ariz. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Southwest, 4025 S. McClintock, Suite 210, Tempe, AZ 85282. |
