May 21, 1947 — June 25, 2009 Kathy was born May 21, 1947, in Denver, Co. to Paul and Lydia (Vogel) Walker. She lived in Longmont for most of her life. She graduated from Longmont High School in 1965 and attended UNC in Greeley. Kathy married Donald Graham on February 14, 1969. They lived in the Denver area for a few years before settling in Longmont in 1976. She retired from the St. Vrain Valley School District in 2001. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. Kathy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1996 with a recurrence in 2001. She became an advocate, mentor, and friend to many who found themselves struggling with this disease. She was a hero and a role model to many, fighting through 7 years of regular chemo treatments with very few complaints. Her days of retirement were filled with lunches, coffees, and "cokes" with her family and many, many friends. Kathy was lovingly referred to as "Mimi" by her four grandchildren, who simply adored her. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, whether it be watching them in any of their various sporting events or school programs, or simply making them banana bread; she was one of their loudest cheerleaders. She is survived by her husband, Don; two daughters, Jami Revielle and her husband Joe of Firestone, and Keri McNutt and her husband Wes of Longmont; four grandchildren, Averi and Josi Revielle of Firestone, and Karter and Maysi Marie Kathleen McNutt of Longmont; a sister, Connie Morris of Longmont, and several nieces and nephews including Amy Even and Brent Morris. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law Rich Morris. A memorial celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Calvary Church, 2101 Gay St., Longmont. Pastor Tom Hovestol will officiate. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Carroll-Lewellen Funeral & Cremation Services. Memorials may be made to the Kathy Graham memorial fund c/o Carroll-Lewellen Funeral & Cremation Services. Friends may share thoughts, memories and condolences with the family at www.carroll-lewellen.com.
