Bonnie L.MORGAN of Longmont died Friday, May 5, 2006, at her home. She was 59.

Mrs. Morgan was born Jan. 7, 1947, in Longmont to Arthur V. and Ruth Norma (Berkshire) Adler. She grew up and attended school in Longmont and at Mead Middle School, where she was a cheerleader. She graduated from Longmont High School.

On Feb. 12, 1965, she married William E. Morgan in Longmont. The couple operated a technology business, Morgan Technologies, with Mrs. Morgan serving as the bookkeeper. She enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling and riding the snowmobile. She also played the piano and the accordion, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Morgan struggled during her life with health problems. She received her first kidney transplant in 1965, receiving a kidney from her mother. In 1996, she again struggled with kidney failure and received another kidney transplant in 1998; this time it was donated by her cousin, Tom Adler. She also suffered other medical complications that affected her health. Her daughters will remember their mom as “the woman with the strongest will to live.”

Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her mother.

She is survived by her husband; her father of Longmont; two daughters, Kimberly McGuire of Longmont and Kyann R. Sherman and her husband Robert of Northglenn; two brothers, Art Adler Jr. and his wife Linda and Rick Adler and his wife Roechelle all of Longmont; two sisters, Darlene Sterkel and her husband Duane of Longmont and Jeannie Lovan and her husband Frank of Loveland; five grandchildren, Kelsey Sanville, Megan McGuire, Julia Sanville, Ellery Sherman and Garrett McGuire; a step-granddaughter, Melissa Sherman; and a step-great-grandson, Dylan Sherman.

Visitation will be held at Howe Mortuary on Monday, May 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 9, at 1 p.m. at Calvary Church, 2101 Gay St., with Pastor Tom Hovestol officiating. Burial will follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
