Albert Lowell BUSH , 90, of Longmont passed away at Garden Terrace Nursing Home in Aurora on June 7. He was born August 29, 1917, in Adams County, Iowa, to William and Eva (Patterson) Bush. Lowell married Ruby Dahlberg in Corning, Iowa, on November 13, 1937.

Lowell was a World War II veteran. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Iowa. Lowell received his diploma in 2005 from Longmont High School at the age of 87. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed wood carving and was a rock hound, turning the rocks he collected into beautiful jewelry.

Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eva Patterson; his wife, Ruby, in 2002; his daughter, Eleanor Lutz; his brother, Howard Bush; and two sisters, Bernice Tucker and Edith McAfferty.

Lowell is survived by two sons, Lowell D. Bush and wife, Joan of Castle Rock and David Bush and wife, Pam of Montana; one son-in-law, Dennis Lutz and wife, Farideh of Longmont; one brother, Harold Bush of California; two grandchildren, Jeff Lutz and wife, Kelly of Denver, and Joni Martin of Mead; three great-grandchildren, Cortney, Rylie and Cooper Martin, all of Mead; and special friends Juanita Edwards and Keith Martin.

A memorial service will be Friday, June 13, at 10:00 a.m. at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Chapel, with Military Honors by American Legion Post 32. Friends may leave condolences for the family at www.carroll-lewellen.com
