Ann (Tucker)
SIMONSEN
, 90, passed away Oct. 30, 2007, at The Bridge Assisted Living in
Longmont. She was a longtime Longmont resident and lived for 30
years in Sun City, Ariz.
Ann
was born Sept. 22, 1917, in Rutherford Hills, Pa. Ann was the first
Western Welcome Hostess in Longmont and the first woman Realtor and
broker in the Longmont area. She also was the first woman president
of the Colorado Board of Realtors.
Ann
enjoyed travel, golf, bowling and fishing and was an avid Phoenix
Suns and Broncos fan. Ann’s family remembers her as a devoted
mother, putting all her love and efforts into raising her children.
Her legacy will live on through the deep sense of tradition,
loyalty, humor and family values she inspired in those who knew her.
She was the love of our lives and a guiding force in our family.

of Patti (Phil) Huff, Jeanne (Kent) Houston, Jim (Judy Nielsen)
Tucker and Judy (Lewis) Hall; grandmother of Bob, Jeff, Lisa,
Kelly, Tracey, Erik, Clancey, Van, Ilia, Dionne, Kimberly, Patrick
and Alex; great-grandmother of Tyler, McKenzie, Katie, Ryan, Will,
Andy, Jake, Ellie, Ethan, Nate, Hanna, Juliet, Adrianna, Tristan and
Brayden. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. W. Simonsen;
and her long time companion, George Riha.
Visitation, Saturday, 1 to 2 p.m.; funeral service, Saturday, 2
p.m., both at Olinger Crown Hill Tower of Memories Chapel, 29th and
Wadsworth, Wheat Ridge 80033, 303-233- 4611. Private entombment,
Olinger Tower of Memories. Memorial contributions suggested to
