Gwendolyn Mae McNeal
78, of Loveland, formerly of Longmont, died October 18, 2008, at her home.
She was
born December 31, 1929, in Bald Eagle, Pennsylvania, to Eugene Paul and
Sarah Elizabeth (Ingram) Hollobaugh.
She married
William A. McNeal on April 28, 1947, in Tyrone, Pennsylvania.
Gwendolyn
moved to Longmont in 1957 from Tyrone, PA, and to Loveland in 1999.
She worked
with her husband, owning and operating McNeal Building and Remodeling from
1963 until they retired in 1990.
Gwendolyn
was a member of the Women of the Moose. She enjoyed sewing, knitting,
crocheting and quilting.
She was
preceded in death by her husband, William of 50 years; a daughter, Anna
Havel; and her parents.
Survivors
include two sons, Eugene “Skip” McNeal of
Loveland, and Bill McNeal (Peggy) of Berthoud; two daughters, Debra Jordan
(Bruce) of Lafayette and Donna West (Dennis) of Loveland; a brother, Charles
Hollobaugh (Rhoda); two sisters, Jean Olesen and Lois Detwiler (Clayton);
fifteen grandchildren, Tracy Cooper, Becky Hubbell, Casey VanSchooten,
Timothy Tidwell II, Jeremy and Jamie Hess, Matt and Chris Jordan, Amber
Robinson, Patrick West, Eric and Kyle McNeal and Rachel, Alicia and Colton
Poore; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Visitation
4 to 7 Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Funeral
service 2 p.m. Friday, October 24, 2008, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
Interment Foothills Gardens of Memory. Memorial contributions may be made to
